Return to South America Overlanding and Our Jeep Home (Video)

The distance from the north pole to the south pole is 7,900 miles. We traveled 5,500 miles to get from Denver, Colorado, back to our Jeep home in Mendoza, Argentina! 🤯 Time to restart our South America overlanding.

Our latest video is jam-packed, matching the chaos that occurs whenever we leave the U.S. But more than our other visits, the stakes are high this time. We expect a year-and-a-half to pass before we’re back in the states. So if we forget anything we need for our overlanding journey, like buying an important vehicle part or obtaining important documents, then we’re out of luck for a loooong time.

Besides the fun logistics, we share a meal and maps with overlanding legends, and soak in family time. Then it’s time for 24 hours of travel and three flights to literally the other side of the world.

Watch now:

Here’s a map view of the distance we traveled:

  • Denver
  • Miami
  • Santiago
  • Mendoza

What’s new with Hourless Life?

I finished my hysterectomy recovery in Mendoza and feel completely back to normal. Actually, I feel better than I did for many years before my surgery, so I’m thankful.

We left Mendoza on August 20, launching Operation Drive Across the Continent.

That’s right: change of travel plans, people. Instead of going south to Ushuaia as we’d planned since forever, we made a slight turn and drove 1,000 kilometers across the continent to Buenos Aires.

The reason makes perfect sense, and you can read all about it on Instagram:
