Captain’s Remarks
14:19 – We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to try and finalize our logo for RV Wanderlust. As you know, we love bison and of course we love the USA. So we wanted to make sure both were represented in our log.
Our friend and designer Gina Blackmore was very patient with us as we went back and forth through multiple rounds of concepts and changes.
Eventually we came up with this….

The full length logo with the text looks like this…

We’re really happy with it! We have another friend who is a WP coding guru that is working on making our logo stretch across the entire top of our blog without ruining the mobile aspect of the theme. So we’re really excited to see what that ends up looking like.
14:24 – 1st Mate Trogdor seems to be eating more. Brittany ended up coming up with an idea to put a worm-escape-proof bowl inside his terrarium and leave the worms there for him for when he’s ready to eat.
You’d laugh but he’s actually really sensitive to having people watch him eat or talk about him while he’s eating. So Brittany and I go deathly silent and use our peripheral vision while he’s eating. He still catches us watching sometimes and then he’ll stop eating.
Either way, we’re really happy that he’s started eating again albeit slowly.
14:26 – One of our clients has asked us to teach social media while on the road at various conferences basically dictated by our schedule. We’re in the preliminary process of drafting up the outlines for what will be the presentation material and we’re pretty excited about it.
14:30 – Some RV friends we’ve met online are in our area and we hope to have dinner with them tomorrow night. I have to say that RVers are some of the coolest and friendliest people out there. Looking forward to that if it all works out.
That’s about it from me today, solid workday got everything done that I needed to get done and more. ~ E
Navigator’s Addendum
14:37 – One of those days when so much is going on that I’m all over the place and it’s unclear what I did or didn’t accomplish! The workday today has just flown by.
Making progress on planning our time in Austin. Camping reservations have been made. We’ll be at Lone Star again for a little over two weeks, then we’ll spend our last four nights at McKinney Falls State Park. I wanted to try Midtown RV Park because it’s closer to central Austin, but they book too far in advance for us to get in.
Meanwhile, I just discovered Oak Forest RV Park, and I’m not sure how I’ve never seen it before. Does anyone know anything about it?
Though I’d like to just play in Austin and go to all the places I love, we have a lot of appointments planned (doctors, dentists, haircuts). Once we take off again on May 31st, it’s unclear when we’ll be back again. Could be the end of 2014 or even later (/tear). -B
