Family Travel

By the time our son was born, we had been traveling full-time for nearly three years. We gave up all hope of a nightlife, but we weren’t willing to give up on our travel dreams.

One of our passions is empowering parents to pursue THEIR travel dreams, and bring the kids along, too. Not only can family travel “work,” but it can actually be the most fulfilling style of travel you’ve ever known. There is nothing like seeing the wide world through the eyes of a child. Their experiences and questions center you, and help you focus on what’s most important.

Caspian, our son, is now eight years old. He doesn’t know life apart from full-time travel. He’s spent at least one night in all Lower 48 U.S. states, driven the length of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, explored thousands of miles through mainland Mexico, overlanded through every Central American country, and driven to the bottom of South America.

No matter the scope of your dreams, we want to inspire you to pursue family travel. There’s no secret formula to success, other than determination and a little bit of planning.

Here’s what it looks like for us and others.
