Places to Eat in Guanajuato

Top 10 Favorite Places to Eat in Guanajuato, Mexico

With a population of only 200,000 people, Guanajuato is full of surprises. This capital city holds a wealth of diverse culinary options, and we’ve been eating our way through them with our fair share of glee. For this week’s video, we’ve put together a list of our top 10 favorite places to eat in Guanajuato (meals and dessert!).

Join us as we count down from #10 to #1.

In case you want to read reviews or look up our favorite places to eat in Guanajuato on Google Maps, here they are by name:

10. Mis Churros Elvira
9. Kurtosh
8. Cielo Verde
7. Habiti Falafel
6. Casa Valadez
5. Banh Mi
4. El Chahuistle
3. Panificadora San Fer
2. Oajillo
1. Tortas Don Beto

On our list alone, you can choose from Hungarian, Mediterranean, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, or Spanish food, not to mention all the delectable Mexican choices!

We also include pricing throughout the video, to give you an idea of what it costs to eat out in Guanajuato.

Per normal, Caspian is the highlight of the video. I could watch him talk about churros all day long!

What’s Coming Up Next?

We are so excited to celebrate the Christmas season in Mexico this year. There are so many holidays and traditions that take place this time of year, besides Navidad itself.

Next week, we’ll be digging into an FAQ about what it’s like to drive or overland through Mexico. We’re going to be talking about border crossings, safety, drinking water, camping, COVID, and so much more. We’re trying to hit the most common questions we get asked all the time. Our ultimate goal is to knock down the barriers and misconceptions that keep people from visiting Mexico.

We also just booked a weekend trip to San Miguel de Allende, which is an hour and a half away from Guanajuato. We’ll be taking a bus this Friday, which will be super fun. We’re not sure whether we’ll be creating a video about San Miguel de Allende, but we’ll definitely be sharing our visit on social media.

Before we go, a quick note that December 10 is the last day to order our stickers, hoodie, and long-sleeve tee from the Hourless Life store IF you want your order to arrive by Christmas. Thanks to everyone who has supported us by ordering. Y’all are the best!
