Largest Waterfalls in the World at Iguazu Falls! (Is the Argentina or Brazil Side Better?)

Our latest video is packed with adventure! We cross the border from Argentina into Brazil, visiting the largest waterfalls in the world that span both countries: Iguazu Falls. Our Jeep navigates deep mud after we take a road the locals warned us about. And for the first time, we are on the road in a country where we don’t know the language!

Watch now:

Two nights before, we had a torrential downpour at Iberá National Park in northeast Argentina. The locals said we needed to wait three days before attempting to leave because any rain turns the off-pavement access into slop. But we figured, we have a Jeep! So yeah, it may take everyone else three days. But we can do it in two!

You’ll see how that turned out.

Eventually, we arrived in Argentina’s Misiones Province. We visited Loreto and San Ignacio, two Jesuit missions dating back to 1610. We learned all about the purpose of the missions and how they impacted the indigenous people, the Guaraní.

From Misiones, we continued north to one of the most-visited attractions in all South America: Iguazu Falls. Iguazu is an entire system of waterfalls–the largest in the entire world. You can see the falls from two countries: Argentina and Brazil. And there is a friendly competition between the two countries about which view is better! You can make your own mind up after seeing our video footage.

And all of this comprises a mere 6 days of our lives!

Sometimes we don’t have the camera running at the right times and there are parts of our lived experience that aren’t conveyed in our videos. But this video is an exceptional example of authenticity. When I watch it, I remember the excitement of entering a country where we were next to helpless, not being able to speak Brazilian Portuguese. I laugh at our banter as a couple. And I feel the emotion of being deeply touched by the kindness of strangers.

There is so much to this video, and I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for being part of our journey.
