I know we said it might never happen, but we actually left Cape Town. We are finally on the road in Africa, continuing this drive around the world on our third continent!
In our latest video, we drive north from Cape Town to explore the Western Cape, one of South Africa’s nine provinces. Then we turn inland from the Atlantic Ocean for a beautiful mountainous region called the Cederberg. It is an overlander’s dream and we found a campground we loved. While in the region, we saw San people rock art and walked through stunning sandstone formations.
Watch now:
We are really enjoying our time in South Africa. Camping culture is huge here and we feel extremely welcomed. For me (Brittany), all the wineries have been a treat, as well.
Some of our favorite campgrounds so far:
- Berg River Resort in Paarl
- Kliphoek River Resort in Velddrif
- Kromrivier Cederberg Park in the Cederberg
Instagram update
In our last video, we shared how our Instagram account was mistakenly taken down by Instagram. In this video, we talk more about how it deeply affected us right as we were getting on the road.
But we have good news. Our prayers were answered and our Instagram account was restored to us after about three weeks! We are back at @hourlesslife, sharing our journey and connecting with our community around the world. We love answering questions and sharing from our experience. Our many mistakes are worth it when we can save someone else from making the same ones!
What’s next?
In our next video, we are getting so close to Namibia. But before we cross the border, we experience our first drive-through national park in Africa. What we find is beyond our wildest imagination. We can’t wait to share it with you!
Thanks for being part of our journey.
