How would you like to come on a walking tour of Guanajuato, our favorite city in Mexico?! During our final week staying in the gorgeous, historical city center, we gather up all the interesting facts and tips we’ve learned, as well as the hole-in-the-wall discoveries we’ve made, and show them all to you!
If you can soak in just a fraction of the magic we experience walking around Guanajuato, then you will undoubtedly add this place to your must-go destinations list.

In addition to our YouTube videos, we’ve been sharing a lot about Guanajuato on our social media accounts. In response, we’ve received comments like these:
You guys are really changing the stereotype thoughts about Mexico. I’ve never been but I thought it was something else.

You have given us a whole new picture of Mexico! My wife and I have only been to the Tijuana area for short term missions trips. But that’s not the Mexico which you have shown us. The richness of culture and the love of people has drawn us to want to make plans to visit this next year.

These comments mean so much to us. We put a lot of time and effort into sharing our journey (while driving through a foreign country full-time with a five-year-old), and THIS is why we share. We want to change the stereotypes, not just about Mexico, but about the other countries we plan to visit as we drive around the world.
Thank you to everyone who is following along, allowing their assumptions to be challenged like ours are every day, and sharing our videos with others.
Where are we now?
We left Guanajuato on January 1. We are living in our Jeep Gladiator again! It feels really good to be back on the road. We drove two-and-a-half hours south of Guanajuato to a new state for us, Michoacán. We stayed in the convention center parking lot of the capital city, Morelia, for three nights. What an incredible city! We barely scratched the surface of everything there was to see there.
From Morelia, we drove a quick 50 minutes west to the Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) of Pátzcuaro. Just wait until you see this awesome town in our next video!
