Overlanding is vehicle-based, self-reliant, long distance travel where the journey is more important than the destination. We discovered overlanding in 2018, after we had already been traveling full-time for four years.
We weren’t sure if we were cut out for the level of intentional self-deprivation that overlanding requires–especially because we were traveling with a toddler! But our shakedown trips into Mexico had us hooked, and we ended up doing 4,000 miles through the interior and the full Baja Peninsula.
