We arrived in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico, on November 15, 2021. We’ll be here until New Year’s Day! We’re staying in a house right around the corner from Jardín de la Union, a beautiful French-inspired garden in the city center that provides shade and pleasant people-watching no matter the time of day.
We instantly fell in love with this city and are so excited to share our first Guanajuato video with you! We asked our supporters on Patreon to vote on the topic, and they chose “A Day in the Life in Guanajuato.”
So for our second “Day in the Life” edition, we film from the time we wake up until the end of the day. You’ll get to see us ride the funicular railway up the mountainside, journey into a subterranean tunnel beneath the city, walk through a huge and colorful mercado, enjoy dinner on a terrace, attend a symphony performance in a stunning theater built at the turn of the 20th century, and much more!
This is truly an incredible city. See for yourself:
What’s Coming Up Next?
This Thursday, we’ll share our favorite places to eat in Guanajuato, counting down from #10 to #1. For a city this size (about 200,000), there is a surprising variety of cuisine choices, and so many places we want to revisit again and again.
We are always open to video topic suggestions, so leave us a comment if you have an idea! Until next time, thanks for watching and being a part of our journey around the world.
